John Lennon Remembered - 2001

Didn't we just do this for George? What a dreary December it's been so far. But as much as it pains us to recall John Lennon's death, it helps keep his memory alive. And as long as we have memories, and as long as those memories are passed down to younger generations, John Lennon will never die.

I'll always miss John. This December 8th will be especially hard because of the loss of George just over a week ago. Thankyou John and George for all the joy you brought to our lives and continue to bring to our lives. Through all the hatred in this world, you bring us love. I'll miss you both forever more.

Thanks for all the wonderful music John. This year the anniversary of your death is even worse because of George's passing a week ago. The beginning of December will now be a doubly hard time for music lovers. You and George are sorely missed. You once said "nothing's gonna change my world," and as long as we have your music that is true. Tomorrow I'll stick on "Plastic Ono Band" and "All Things Must Pass" for both John and George. RIP guys.

God, we just did this a week ago. This is a depressing week. I mourn John like I knew him. I would have loved to see what he had to say about the last 21 years. We all knew he was full of opinions and I love him for that. I miss the music we never got to hear that passed away with him. I was only 7 when he was killed so I don't remember the event but I certainly think about it virtually every day. Lets hope George and John are catching up and making music on the other side. Peace to them both. Your music lives in all of us.

Yeah, a week ago we did this for George. It has been a rough December. Winter is claiming more and more of my heroes. My beloved Beatles are being decimated. This time of year my thoughts always turn to John and his way too early death. I have never fully gotten over his loss. But here we are again, confronted with another premature Beatle death. And not 9 days apart from John's death date. I remember THAT December of 1980. It was just like this one. Warmer than normal and a bit overcast. Last Friday when the world found out we had lost George as well it was the same type of day. Deja vu of the worst kind. Of course, George's death was expected. He died in relative comfort. When John died it was a horrible, violent thing. It left us all reeling. All the same, I am still hurting over George. I'm still hurting over John. I guess it's true, only the good die young. I now plan to live as a total asshole. John, I still miss you. Please take care of George. And if you have any sway with the gods up there, talk them into forgetting about Paul and Ringo for a while. They're all the Beatles we got left and we need them.

Im probably one of the youngest die-hard beatle fans -being 17 years old- but their music has changed the way we live today and our culture- and I truely belive that. And although I was never alive when John was I have the utmost admiration for him, his music, his career (as a musician, a father and husband) artwork and all of his beliefs. It tears my heart every year at this time because I feel as if I knew him. I dont know what else to say because its so hard to put your feelings into words when they are so strong...butlet me just say that let us not mourn for the loss of two of the greatest musicians, let us celebrate what they have done and continue to recognize them for who they were and are, and for everything they still stand for. We Love You both John and George...your music and spirits will forever continue to play in our hearts. Godbless "Love is the answer, an you know that...for sure." ~ john lennon

John Lennon... He's one of the persons who has inspired me the most through music, love and words. He was an awesome person. Like George Harrison he will never be forgotten. The 8th of December will always be a special date for many people. He didn't die the way he deserved to. That's very sad. Such a loving person full of live, energi and ideas doesn't deserve to die that way John did... He will always stay in our hearts and be remembered for all the things he did. We miss you here John. Peace and Love, Liv.

I was looking around a furniture store the other day when this asked me who was on my shirt. I said John Lennon. He said "How old are you?" (I'm 17) and he was shocked. He said "He died before you were even born!" Then it hit me. John's been dead longer than I've been alive. I hope that you're still rockin the place, John. I look forward to the day I can finally meet you, which will hopefully be a long, long time. Keep on playin' those mind games forever! ~Krissy

December 8th is such a sad day... but at the same time, when I listen to John's music, I smile. He may be gone but his music lives on. This time of year, I think back to when I was first discovering the Beatles. I was about 15 years old and remember seeing "Imagine" for the first time and fell totally in love with John Lennon - the man, his music and his beliefs. He is a legend, that's for sure. He had such an impact on my life that it makes me wonder just how many other people he touched. It blows me away. RIP John Lennon. We love you!

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to Strawerry Fields. I'm not old enough, yet. But your music is making me grow and learn, just like it always has. I miss you, but not just the day you left. I miss you every moment I don't hear your music. It's such a waste to have you gone and not creating more of your own--even if you are inspiring so many others. Well what a December this year. Two "lossess" in one.John being dead for twenty one years(can you believe that it's twenty one whole years he's not with us)and George being dead for a week.Oh God it's rough indeed! Two of The Beatles have gone.Imagine.Games being played Across The Universe.Sit down and think what they were doing on December 8,in 1962,1963,1964,1965,1966,1967,1968,1969,1970,1971 until they split up as The Beatles - All Those Years Ago when we was young.Life is very short and there's no time-that's true.Life really seems like Crackerbox Palace dosen't it!They both had so many more songs to give to us but The Almighty had other plans for them.Nevertheless, our gratitude to them is Great,as Great they were. We'll always love them, cause All We Need Is Love.In return they'll be singing to us from the heavens.God Bless and Rest your Souls Dear John and George.Dosen't it seem like a Double Fantasy? Is it coincidence that most of their songs match this circumstance,is it!

A year ago today I was in Manhatten with the most important woman in my life. We were there for the 20th anniversery of John's death. The only thing that changed for me was that I quit hating Chapman. Even though I play in a band and we play Johns music, it still hurts badly. It is hard to sing when there are tears in your eyes. John I miss EVERYDAY. Now I miss George EVERYDAY...... I doubt it will EVER stop until I too am in Rock-N-Roll heaven listening to the cosmos most bad ass band. Imagine ...... i would like to say i have loved the beatles since i was in the 4th grade. and now i am a sophmore in high school. people constantly ask me why i liked them so much and what was it about them that i thought was so great. so finally i started to think about it.. why did i like them so much?? then i realized it was all john. just his special style in music and his voice, its magnificent. his music and his roll in life is such an inspriration to me. how he wanted world peace and tried to make it happen, and how he expressed it through his music. and now of course its dec. 7th and i am once again deeply saddened. how could anyone kill a man of peace?? i try not to think about it, but at this time of year i can't help but think about.. so to pay my respects to him every year, i go the whole day on dec.8th without talking, that is my way mourning for him. i love you john, your still beatiful, and everyday i say at least once give peace a chance. and it is so true that all you need is love! only a genious like you could think of quote like that, and i admore you for that. thank you for all the brillian music you have written, and thankyou for keeping me dreaming of peace, i know its going to happen, all you have to do is imagine. once again i LOVE you brotha. peace man!

Since I'm only 15 I have never exprienced The Beatles first hand (I wish I had the opportunity though!). However, I absolutly adore and charish their music, personalities, and as each one as individuals. But, John Lennon stands out the most. He was always the most interging, comical and all around enjoyable. I can't help by saying that I truely believe that John was one of the most influencial men in music, and life in general. He will always remain loved, respected and thought of as the Greatest. "Life is what happens while your busy making other plans." - John Lennon... And what great plans he made in his life!

Sheesh. Am I gonna cry again? John Lennon, George Harrison, it's all one big muddle. With all the grieving going on, I've forgotten to look at the positive points. They're together. Making music. I'm only 15, but the Beatles and their music have really touched me, how it's so powerful, and so amazing. Rest in peace John, and George, and hopefully, one day, we'll all LIVE in peace! This past week has been so hard, John. We have just been given the shock of George's passing. We aren't over it. We haven't moved on. We are still in deep mourning. I am still feeling such a loss in my heart that it is painful to go on about my daily life. Yet, as Beatle fans, we got slapped across our face again when Dec. 8 snuck upon us. We did not forget. We did not see it coming. When in mourning, one's coherency is not at its usual height. I pray that George and you are in heaven together. I can just imagine George saying "They still love you down there, ya know." At least you are not alone. Nor is George. I love you John. Now and FOREVER. You will always have a special place in my heart that no one but you can touch. Dec. 8 shall forever hold the meaning of loss, sadness, and depression. Oct. 9 will forever hold the meaning of celebration, rejoicing, and happiness. God bless you, John Ono Lennon.

For the last few Octobers and Decembers, I have hesitated to post on this board. I become too overwhelmed with emotions to write my feelings on John Lennon. He is my favorite musician. He first sang to me when I was 11 in 1987; I didn't even know who he was then - not to mention the fact that he was no longer with us - but since then, I have studied his life with passion and helpful intent. I say helpful intent because I believe there is tons of good still left to utilize from John's life. In fact, I have written a few poems about John that are going into my first poetry book. He rivals only my grandfather for the most poems about a specific person. John Lennon, first and foremost, was a fellow human being to me. Secondly, and even if only through his words (i.e. interviews), I felt that we were friends. After that, he was a great singer/songwriter that has inspired my own literary aspirations. Yes, I do miss George Harrison, but John lived and died in a different manner. I look forward to reading the posts from people born AFTER John died. In a way, in maybe 20 years, I look forward to what people will say about John and George when that generation was born 20 or 40 years after either man's death. I listen to music from many different eras, but the music that touches me most is the music made just before I was born. I disdain today's music because, well, to steal and paraphrase a line from Lennon, no one has yet to improve on "Imagine." I don't think anyone will. But we never stop dreaming about peace and love. I wish that for everyone, even if only in your own personal associations with others. We do not mourn John's death today; we celebrate everything that he has given us and will continue to give through his music, his art and poetry (check them out!) and his love for humanity. We will all shine on if we keep John's memory as something positive rather than as something dismal because without John Lennon, this world would be different - in a bad way - than it is today. When Sept. 11 happened, I first thought about John. He's still living at the Dakota, you know. I worried about him and Yoko. I wondered if he would reunited the Beatles for a huge charity concert in Central Park. But it didn't happen. Thankfully, Paul did something, but if John Lennon would have been there, well, I will leave it to you, the reader, to insert your own theories. I send wishes of peace and love - to everyone everywhere - and I hope that everyone can join together to sing Happy Xmas (War Is Over) this holiday season. Give peace a chance. Peace. --Chris

John, it's amazing how much you have done for the world with your songs. It's so simple, yet so true - when i listened to your song 'Working class Hero' it was so true, put so straightforward that it was almost like the most subtle of subtle poetry. John, no matter how long you will have been dead, your spirit will always live in your music. You will never truly die. Wasn't it Elliot Mintz who said that you don't really get over something as horrific and tragic as John's death, you just adjust to a different reality. I have always talked to John- everyday-I'll say: Oh, look at that,John isn't that great or sad or funny or stupid or whatever....Many of us feel we know him so well that we know what he would say about so many things. I mean, he didn't surprize me after so many years. It must be comforting to me to always be talking to John- if not outloud, then in my head. John is always with me, that is how I have coped. It works for me. Most of the time. I expect I'll be talking to George too. Is it sacrilege to sing "My sweet George" instead when I'm listening to "My Sweet Lord"? Tough, I'll sing it anyway...I feel really sad inside, but I just try to cope the best way I can. I can see into the future- Nov. 29 and then 9 days later- Dec. 8- it's gonna be rough every year....

John Lennon is a state of mind, that's why he still lives inside us. Life can be cruel, so unexpected in its solution, but it's life. John sayd: Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans. He knew that. Fortunately he left us so many precious things, we can use them to make a better world, to make better men and women. I want imagine him playing in the sky with his close friend George...while their guitar gently will wheep for all the clouds..that will drip till they will reach us. Bye everybody. Luisa

I guess John Lennon is a memory to a lot of people now, but those memories are important factors woven into the significant events of our lives. For me, I remember writing letters to my girlfriend with "Woman" playing in the background. Maybe that is John's greatest legacy, how he has become a part of the important moments of our lives, or even how his music seems to describe the different stages of our lives so well. Peace to you John and George, and all those you could never leave behind.

Well, whenever I start to feel sad about John's passing, mainly because I'll never get a chance to meet him, or George now, until it's my time, I remember something my English teacher said to me last year. He and I are both big Beatle fans, and I was talking to him after class about it. He told me something that always comforts me. "It was 20 years ago today (which it was last year)Sgt. Pepper (or John) taught the band to play (Maybe he's teaching some other musicians how to really play Rock N Roll?). They've been going in and out of style (which they had been back in the public eye due to the '1' CD) But they're guaranteed to raise a smile (John can still make us happy today). This always cheers me up.

In his Rolling Stone interview (Lennon Remembers), John said that early on the Beatles were reviewed as having used "areulian cadences" (sp?), and he didn't know what they were. Nor did I, but since I've discovered by listening over and over to his work, his jangely piano fills and backgrounds, his "banjo" guitar that it is literally military marching music. I find in this what may be the key to his success and psyche. In spite of his downright fascistic pacifism (oxymoronic?) his life was an absolute forward march, with the masterly use of iconoclasm as a saber. No compromise, obsessively competitive, no prisoners...all balls. I watched the tribute and based upon it I here request that Yoko make it a crime for anyone aside from the Lennon Lads to perform his work...its unnatural and though well intentioned it's failure and deformation. I've wondered what He'd have said about the 9/11 rape of his beloved NYC, but wait, he said it already: NO RELIGION TOO! love...theporge

I'm at a loss for words. John was such an insipiration to thousands of people, why did he have to die? There was one time a few years ago, I guess I was about 13, and all I wanted was a way out of my life. I sat on my bed with a razor in my hand, trying to remember which way I was supposed to cut, across or straight down. My radio was on the oldies station and just as I was ready to cut myself, Imagaine came on. I sat there for a moment, sort of in disbelief, and then I started wondering why I was feeling so sorry for myself. There are so many other people out there, and if I could even help a few of them, that would be a LOT better than being dead. Now a Sophomore in High School, I'm in a Peer Helping class and I'm positive I'm going to start psych next year. All because his song came on at the right time. It's funny how that works. John, I love you to death, as do thousands of other people. There are some kids down the block, both about 5 years old, who are already as big of Beatles fans as I was at their age (and that's saying a lot). You're dead, and everyone needs to accept that and be glad that you're living in a better place than here, but your music and spirit will always be with us.

john, here it is, another anniversary of you. i'm doin okay. My family is watching HELP as i type away to you. My son, John, is already living up to his name and in a way, that makes me smile...although i hear you were a trouble maker :). it's hard to put into words exactly what you've done for me and my life. To put it simply, you help me put a name and face to the things that i believe. You let me know that it's okay to do what I want to do and not to worry about what others are going to say. You also gave me the courage to stand up for my beliefs in a public place, which was something i could never do before you. You are my light, my love and my understanding of how life should be. You weren't perfect and never claimed to be and that is alright with me, Shine on Johnny Boy....Shine on...we love you....take care of George and show him around over there...things haven't been the same since you left...who knows how it would have been....I am at peace knowing that you are still in my heart. Well, tonight i will be honoring you.... hehe....i know you can read my mind. I will think more to you then.... Goodbye beautiful boy....beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful boy. You are greatly missed and grandly loved. -tess ( you know who i am :)

John, You have been such an inspiration to me. You are so brilliant, as a musician and person. You have always been my favorite Beatle, I feel instinctively drawn to you and only wish I could have been living at the same time as you, as I am only now 17 years old. You are such a deep and spiritual person who was not afraid to say what you think and stick up for what you believe. That is a gift many do not have, as they are afraid of what others will think, or they do not have enough confidence in what they believe to express it. Thanks for giving us all your gifts of wisdom and music. Your music and legacy will live on in my mind and my heart forever. RIP John Lennon...

John, unfortunatly passed before I was born, but the effect of his music on me is so powerful that I feel like I was around when he was. Rolling Stone has said John Lennon's song "IMAGINE" has become the anthem of the Sept. 11, because we need what John wanted. Its true that he was ahead of his time; but in a good way. John may not be here phyically, but he is here in the heart, soul, and spirits of millions. Thanks for all the great times John, we miss you. we love you. PEACE.

John - Well another year has finally gone by... and I still miss you just as much. It hurts so much that you're not here, even though you died years before I was even born. Your music has done so much for me, and you have inspired me to start writing myself, which I love so much. I will never get over your death - I will learn to deal with it, but I will never get over it. Having George gone too makes it so much harder... two of my heroes are dead. But you, your music, and everything you left for the world will never be forgotten. I love you so much, and I will never stop missing you.

This day brings many feelings, none of which I have words into which I can transmute them. Pain comes to mind, but it isn't quite right. It's not pain, not any more. It's something else, a feeling of loss, maybe. Of incompleteness. I cannot say something profound or noteable or worthy of the object of my thoughts- it is times like these those fragile constructions I like to play with that we call words break apart. They seem so useless. So, I suppose after all this meaninglessness chatter, I can only say this: I miss you, big Brother, I miss you terribly. --Dakota "We all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun."

Today should not be a day for grief and pain, but for hope and happy remembrance. Every year I remember John, and now this time of year will hold a double significance. I will always remember John and George and their legacy, but I will not cry. I will instead listen to their music and remember that they were just people. Truly talented and visionary musicians, and doubtless amazing individuals, but still just people. All things must pass.

Dear John, As others have written, this dark day is twice as difficult to get through this year because George died only 9 days ago. John, you have been in my heart since I first listened to The Beatles at age three. I have always turned to your music, art, words and poetry to get through difficult times in my life. You have been an inspiration to me in so many ways, and I will always love you. Last year, Yoko answered one of my questions in a chat, and those words have really affected me. She said that the best way to honor your life and spirit was to become inspired and determined to have the kind of life *I* would be proud of. Those words meant so much to me; I felt like I needed to hear them at the place I was in my life at the time. John, thank you so much for the magic you gave the world. Thank you for being courageous and standing up for what you believed in despite the consequences. Thank you for the music! I love you always and forever.

How can I bring you to this sea of madness? I love you so much, it's gonna bring me sadness... Neil Young [used in the Lennon Tribute in the Ryder art journal, December 1980] 21 years ago tonight I know where I was... making little "kokeshi", wanting to do all the Beatles, and starting with John and Yoko -- I was halfway through the first doll when at 11:40 I decided to put it down and go watch the late evening news. Channel 8 flashed his picture and Mike Aherne said "there's blood all over, but we're doing the best we can." what happened? A minute later a crawler went across the bottom of Channel 10 and my mother and I were sitting there in shock. I tried to get to WQAX, the volunteer radio station where I worked with my friends, but it was already locked up for the night, and I never reached the station manager -- therefore did a John Lennon Special on December 8, 1981, and every year thereafter until the station closed down in '93. Thanks to yours truly, WQAX was one of the millions of stations worldwide that carried the "Imagine All The People" radio special October 9, 1990, where Yoko gave her sweet speech at the United Nations. "Let's use our power of dreaming..." My final show was 24 hours long and included the full three-hour Lennon Special -- in fact, I think I ran it twice to be sure everybody had it. What I did that night was listen to radio reports from New York .. from WABC, and WCBS, and someplace in Pennsylvania, and on and on... I finally made my little dolls, and sent a pair to Yoko. And I taped as much as I could. That was what I used in my Lennon Specials. I have those tapes still. If you made any tapes of radio or television that night, I would like to trade copies. I might try to do a Lennon Special via Live365 if it's still around next year!

I have been racking my brain all day trying to think of what I wanted to say here but all it keeps telling me is "You shouldnt have to be doing this, you shouldnt have to be doing this..." so as the strains of Strawberry Fields Forever echo as I type this, Ill try my best. Thank you. Thank you Lennon for everything. The Beatles have been my favorite band since my dad woke me up at age 4 to see them on the Ed Sullivan show and you have always been my favorite Beatle. Why? Because you were---and I dont mean this with any disrespect---wierd. Different. A true original. Outrageous. Someone who saw life and the world around him in a way that most people dont, and that quality always showed itself in your music which is why your songs are my favorites. And I admire you for that; you are one of the few true heros Ive ever had in my life and an endless source of inspiration. Your music (and your partners in crime) has filled my life for almost 40 years now, through all the changes; the bad and the good, the best of times and the worst of times and for that I give you my heartfelt thanks and love.

Well Johnny and George are not here anymore but where ever they are that place is better for it. I have been missing John for 21 years now and as another writer wrote with time the mind gets used to loss but never gets over it. Christmas time is here again and there are people who all over the world that need to feel loved. John and George in their public persona's were positive thinking people and they helped millions through the art that God gave them and now they have been rewarded for that good work by being with God and learning even more. These are my beliefs and I cant help but believe also that God invented music as the best way to communicate with others. George and John were very good messengers and instead of being sad about John and George no longer being on this earth Iam joyful that we were lucky to have lived in the same time. PEACE LOVE And Music, Happy Crimble and Hare Krishna

Today has been difficult. The last couple of weeks have been. Hearts heavy with the loss of George are once more confronted with the sensless loss of John, and innocence, 21 years ago today. John's music has filled my day with happiness, sorrow and loss. I miss him so. The common reaction to my day is, "Why do you do this to yourself?". Respect. Love. The need to have right in my face again what John's music meant and how tragic his loss was to us all...to make sure that no many more years I have than John was denied, no matter what, I will never forget. God Bless you John. It's gonna be alright.

John and George - two Beatles in Heaven. Two people that told this world that all we need is love, and now you are in a place built by love. John - I have been inspired by your words and music and I still miss you - you are awesome and always hold a place in my heart. George - I feel close to you because we are both a little quieter than the others, but we want to be heard. I love you both and I miss you greatly.

December 8 is a difficult day, to one degree or another, but this one is especially difficult. I feel very saddened today at the loss of John, and I'm dealing with the loss of George at the same time. This is the toughest December 8 since 1997. Back then, I used to be really angry about John's death, and I was angry that I would never get to meet him, and I was beyond angry at the killer. It even took over my life to a point, because I had a total of 11 nightmares about the subject of the murder. John was (and still is) my favorite Beatle, and I was angry that he would never make any new music, and I was also upset that he wasn't alive when I was. (I was 13 at the time of this anger.) The anger died down a few months after that, and now, I don't feel so much anger; I feel more of a sense of loss. I feel as if John is a friend to me, even though I never knew him. I feel as if his music speaks to me, and the amazing talent and voice that he had still blows my mind away. I have been a Beatles fan for six years, and Paul was originally my favorite, but as I found out more about the Beatles and heard more of their music, I discovered that I liked John the best. His music speaks to my heart like nothing else does, and I still feel inspiration from his music and his ideas. I visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in October, and viewed the "Lennon: His Life and Work" exhibit, and was reminded again of just how good John's music was and the huge impact that he had on society. By the way, after that awful December 8 four years ago, I now prefer to use the day as a commeration of John's life, instead of focusing on his death. (I have also been Lennon-nightmare free for exactly four years!) Even though John is my favorite Beatle, ALL of the Beatles have a special place in my heart, because their music has done so much for me. This December 8 is hard, though, because I feel as if I have lost two best friends, and I'm mourning both of them at once. :( (I know someday I will be able to smile and remeber both George and John, and their music, but for now it's hard, and it's going to take awhile.) I don't think I've ever really gotten over John's death, because I still feel a sense of loss, and I feel a twinge of anger sometimes, but I've learned to deal and live with it. John, thank you very much for your contributions to music and to society, and thank you very much for being an inspiration to me. You live on in spirit, your music, and our hearts.

I never feel that upset about Johns death. I feel anger at his murder and murderer, he deserves everything he gets. I sometimes feel guilty for not being upset but would John want people to be upset, especially when we were born AFTER December 8th 1980? I don't think so. I have read other comments particularly the person who felt John was talking to him in his songs. The Beatles music was immensly personal not only is John talking to us but so are George, Paul and to a lesser extent Ringo. I don't know, maybe its the way they sang, but their music is different to everyone elses. George, John now your happy and I'm glad your in peace when our world isn't.

But it seems like nobody cares at all about George Harrison. I mean, the man is dead as well. Just because John is was popular and wrote alot more successful songs, that doesn't mean George has to be less loved, and less missed. George was as much of a beautiful person as John was. We are all beautiful. We are all one race. We are all human beigns. I'll miss you George. Though I know you are in a better place, with John. Both You guys rule!! Outside of my own family and Jesus Christ himself, John may be my biggest hero. He had talent, he had vision, and he had a heart for humanity. His music is quite simply among the best ever written and performed. I was not yet born when John died, yet through his music he has impacted me profoundly. I enjoy his music for its passion, for its beauty, for its raw honesty. John wasn't perfect, but then again, none of us are. He was no deity. I don't worship him. But I am thankful he passed through our world, if only for a short time, to share his music, and his dream, with us. John did his best to help us live in harmony with each other. What a lofty goal for an entertainer! We should be grateful for the legacy he left us. Shine on, John!

Like so many others I was deeply saddened recently by the untimely death of a musical Legend. In an effort to come terms with my sadness and in an attempt to remember him in a special way I wrote a song called ŇI Gently WeepÓ It is in MP3 format at the following address. iainbaird.com This is not a promotion or sale of any kind, the attached address is only a free tribute to George Harrison. I am not a professional musician, its just a passion. I only ask that anyone who listens and enjoys, donate to any local Cancer Society, in Memory of George Harrison. I have attached links for The Canadian Cancer Society and The American Cancer Society to the site. Peace IB

Words cannot express how John Lennon has changed my life. I won't say he's been the whole reason I am who I am (that would be fanatical) but he's contributed to my ambitions like no other person. Without his music and words, I could not have made it through many difficult times in my life. He's been my inspiration since I was twelve. Thank you, John, for giving all of us so much.

I think both John and George were wonderful guys, and as an 11 year old fan not alive in the reign of the Beatles,I almost feel like I knew them. I was close to tears when I learned that John Lennon was dead before I could walk, and I am now very depressed to hear about George. If you guys can see this, I miss you. P.S. Don't let Paul and Ringo die!

I love John Lennon...he's my idol. Yeah, I'm only fifteen, and no, I wasn't alive for Beatlemania or the Anti-War Movement...but that doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan. To me, John Lennon's the driving inspiration everyone needs in their life, and the peaceful and hopeful message everyone wishes to send themselves. John Lennon is a legend beyond all legends and such a great man. He'll be forever missed, forever remembered, and his songs forever played over and over in our hearts. I love you John.
