*Anyone else notice that around 1967 John's voice became much softer and higher pitched, while McCartney's, beginning around 1968, became deeper and more forceful. I refer to Back in the USSR, when he was almost channeling Elvis, but certainly on Let It Be you can notice a deeper richer tone.

Perhaps all those years of singing screamers like "Twist and Shout" and "Money" took their toll on Lennon's voice?
