**Another watershed year in music...but this is not a web board for classic rock.
**The Beatles and solo Beatles from 1970 were:
**Let It Be - last album released by the group May 1970); on the B side was You Know My Name (Look Up the Number), a real novelty number.
**All Things Must Pass (George Harrison) - featuring My Sweet Lord and What is Life - (November 1970). A triple album! Harrison proved his mettle, as at that juncture he was proving to be the equal of his more renowned band mates.
**John Lennnon/Plastic Ono Band (John Lennon) - December 1970
**McCartney (Paul McCartney) - (April 1970) - featured his first single hit, Maybe I'm Amazed.
**Sentimental Journey (Ringo Starr) - March 1970 - which left most Beatles fans scratching their heads, as he sang creaky pop standards from h is mother's era in his inimitable, off key crooning.
**Beaucoups of Blues (Ringo Starr) (September 1979) another off-Beatles album which saw Starr go down to Memphis and sing country western with some top drawer C&W session musicians.
**Singles were:
**Let It Be (March 1970)
**The Long and Winding Road (May 1970)
**Instant Karma (John Lennon) - (January 1970)
*Forgot to mention that My Sweet was released in November

1970 was a pretty busy Beatles year considering it was also the break up year.
