***Kind of changes your mind about him just a bit, although Boys was based on the Motown song 'Girls.' It just seems inappropriate coming from a man in his late 20s, though - no other band that I can think of would have touched it.

***'16' is just plain old creepy.
**
**i have no idea what you're talking about here - are you talking about the song the Beatles covered 'Boys' by Luther Dixon / Wes Farrell??
**
**what's the issue with that?

*Yep. Just seems weird that Ringo covered a Motown all girls band (The Shirelles) song about girls, and changed it to boys.
*
*As for 16, sorry, it just smacks the potential for statutory rape, which did happen, didn't it, to Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary? Kind of resonated with me.
*

Also, Bill Wyman of the Stones like them young, too.

Anyhow, I posted the message tongue in cheek. 16 is kind of retro, in a cool way. But I never got into Boys, with Ringo crooning about how boys are a bundle of joy!
