****Long Tall Sally - love John's vocals, he is smokin'. hadn't heard this before. believe it's the rehearsal for the One to One live concert. anyway you sure hear how he can belt it with zero effects just raw vocals. he was a rocker

** Interesting find. Too bad John didn't consider doing a recorded version of "Long Tall Sally" for the Rock N Roll album. I guess he didn't because The Beatles had already covered the song even though Paul was on lead.

*That was Paul's big song to do- much like John's was "Twist and Shout" although "Long Tall Sally" was never as popular so it would have been kinda tacky for him to do it- and they were both on good terms at the time.

Yeah John and Paul's relationship was more cordial again by the time of the Rock N Roll album. I think "Long Tall Sally" was one of Paul's specialty numbers in the early days of the Beatles because he pulled off a pretty close to Little Richard sounding voice. John gives a nice raw vocal on the song as well but obviously does not sound similar to Little Richard.
