*I was reading the 1980 Playboy interview with him and he sounded so bitter. Nothing good to say about Paul or George, said benefit concerts were useless, was negative towards anything Beatles related and was really a dick about Julian. Basically said Sean was planned, but Julian was a mistake because of alcohol. Seriously, John was a prick

I don't think it was so much about bitterness. It was more about frustration than anything. The dream was over and the players
didn't get along anymore. What people misunderstood is that when you have 4 guys who literally spent their young lives together, sharing hotel rooms, planes, limos, etc. inevitably something is
going to create a rift. The rift didn't really happen until Brian Epstein died. After that, they had no direction to follow and nobody to help them point the way. So they decided to govern themselves and things started spiraling downward on what John referred to as a "slow death".
John was actually on the mend wrt his relationships with Julian in the last days. It was Yoko that cut him off. Julian was given money by Paul to go to music school because Yoko wouldn't help him.

Yeah John was a prick at times,..we all are. It's just the part of being human.
