**Demographics of the 2012 show blacks with 96%, Latinos 71% and whites 39% voted for Obama. It's fair to say that Obama won because of the blacks and Latinos. FACT.

*What are the actual numbers though? I mean, to say 96% and 71% vs 39% is based on race if every race had 1 million voters shows a discrepancy in the numbers. But let's say only 1 million African Americans voted, 1.5 million Latinos voted and 8 million whites voted. All of a sudden the percentages, while vastly different are in reality quite similar numbers-wise; thus negating the race equation.
African-Americans accounted for 13% of the total vote. Hispanics, 10%.
So, of the 127 million or so that voted, those two groups would be about 29 million.
Your rough example was actually pretty damn close to the right percentage, just swap the two.Followup Messages:
