*****Washington (CNN) – A conversation between two Republican senators caught on an open microphone Wednesday provided a candid look into their thoughts about the politics surrounding the government shutdown.

*****Paul was coming off an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, and he told McConnell, who's microphone was switched on for an interview with CNBC, that he has been saying over and over again that "we're willing to compromise, we're willing to negotiate."

*****Earlier, speaking to Burnett on her show "Out Front," Paul said "I would think you have to negotiate, which to me means discussing your differences and trying to get in the middle between the two. So we've been offering some compromises. I think that's what the American people want."

*****He told Burnett that the original Republican position was that they didn't want any Obamacare. "That is what we truly believe," said Paul, "we think it's bad for the country." Paul argued for a compromise to end the stalemate. "The president wants all of it, a 100 percent," he told CNN.

*****Yesterday senior White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer said, "what we're not for is negotiating with people who have a bomb strapped to their chest." And both of the Republicans from Kentucky agreed that that kind of Democratic stance will be bad for the Democrats.

*****In the candid moment caught on tape, McConnell told Paul that "after a two hour meeting" with Congressional Democrats, he found that the left side of the aisle is espousing "basically the same view privately as it was publicly."

*****It becomes a bit clearer who really wants to work to end this shutdown crap. Maybe it's time for Obama to stop acting the part of a dictator and refusing to bend some in order to end this stalemate. This whole thing is about ready to turn on him.

****"Refusing to bend?" The Democrats were perfectly willing to compromise on the ACA. They did so three years ago. That's why there's no public option. You're asking them to compromise on a compromise. A year from now, you'll be asking them to compromise on the compromised compromise.

***And if you remember, Obamacare from day one was basically rammed down everyone's throats and passed by a Democratic Senate before anyone had even taken the time to read it. Pelosi's now famous remark urging the Democrats to "Pass this so we can see what's in it" is a pretty good indicator they just wanted to push something out there to piss off the opposition. It was an example of "my way or the highway" from Obama's point of view.

It's obvious Obama doesn't want to reason it out and he acts like a dictator. If Obama wanted to compromise before how come he doesn't want to now? **He doesn't want to compromise because HE ALREADY COMPROMISED. Why should he keep compromising on a law that passed years ago until it's whittled away to nothing. Compromising is done before a law is passed until it's in a form that most elected representatives will support, and it was. Note that word, ELECTED. Yes, it was not passed in a dictatorial way. It was passed by elected representatives. Obama was elected, too. If people had really been too unhappy with him over this, he would have been voted out of office. That didn't happen. He was reelected. He was the first president to win over 50% of the popular vote in two elections since Reagan.

*The final vote tally for the Senate version of Obamacare in the House was 219-212, with 34 Democrats joining ALL Republicans in opposition. Pelosi made a deal with the Stupac group to ensure it's passage and Obama issued an Executive Order which sealed the deal. It was a one-sided show from the onset. Not one Republican was onboard because nobody even had the chance to see what it was all about before the Democrats rushed to push this through. Pelosi's remark just before their vote indicates they didn't have a clue themselves as to what was in it..all they knew is they had to beat the Republicans to the punch no matter the cost.

And there alot of them even now that don't know what to expect with Obamacare. Give it 90 days we'll see how many disgruntled people start showing up on tv to complain about it.
