Haha wow that's rich, must have glossed right over that.
I think an awesome response by Piers is needed here. Perhaps "double dare" Alex into taking the physical challenge of emptying a clip from a 9mm into himself in a 10 minute period. I mean, Alex claims guns are harmless, so nothing should happen to him. Piers can offer him $2,000,000. Because that is about as ridiculous as offering someone a million to inject themselves 1000 times within two weeks. And yet people still take this fucking kook seriously.
