*The famous music venue is now set to hit the auction block after the company that owns it went into administration last month. Britain's The Times reports the club will be sold off along with the shopping center which surrounds it and is expected to fetch around $1.5 million.

*The original building was demolished in the 1970s, but the venue eventually reopened after it was rebuilt using bricks saved from the site. The Cavern Club has also hosted performances from other famous acts over the years including the Rolling Stones, the Who and Sir Elton John.

*Maybe whoever buys it at auction will understand it's historical significance and perhaps try to preserve it hopefully (even though it's not the original). If they decide to tear it down then auction off the original bricks?

and take all the bricks
And put them in a brick museum
And charge all the people
A dollar and a half just to see them
