*****Okay, Johnny D. You asked for another thread so here it is...You spoke of logic. Provide some on why someone would allow a publication bearing his name to publish articles with clearly derogatory comments towards Jews, blacks, and gays.. Then to claim that he had no idea such stuff was in the publication and that he had no idea who was responsible for it... That is amazingly stupid and reckless at best if one vehemently disagrees with such content... And when researching such matters, one name seem to keep cropping up when it comes to the responsibility foe such revolting comments...After Paul himself. the most likely suspect seems to be Lew Rockwell who was vice=president of the corporation which published the newsletters... Doesn't your son-in-law post articles on Lew Rockwell's website?...
*****
*****
*****Here are some articles for you to check out if you're willing...
*****I'll give you the titles and you can search for them if you so desire...
*****
*****
*****
*****'The Company Ron Paul Keeps' from the Weekly Standard
*****
*****
*****
*****
*****'Angry White Man' from The New Republic
*****
*****
*****
*****
*****'Who Wrote Ron Paul's Newsletters?' from Reason
*****
*****
*****
*****'Stormfront Founder Don Black Says White Supremacists Thought Ron Paul Was One Of Us' from Politicker
****
****
****
****
**** I forgot to add that quite a few of the articles featuring the revolting content were written in first person which would further lead people to believe that such things were coming directly from Ron Paul himself...
****
****
****It boggles the mind to think someone could allow such things to go out under his name for a long period of time without even taking the time to check out what he was attaching his name to..
***
***The newsletter question was fully answered in the 90's, and was only brought up again when he ran for president. Motives for that? Both main parties saw he was climbing in the polls.
***
***Here is just one voucher for his character, coming from a black leader who knows Paul first hand: "Nelson Linder, President of the Austin, Texas chapter of the NAACP has known Ron Paul for over twenty years and has stated unequivocally that he does not believe that the Texas Congressman is a racist at all."
***
***Paul also has in many speeches talked and praised MLK and Rosa Parks. He also fought for minorities, (which right now I am not in full knowledge of the specifics).
***
***As an independent leader, he may have given leeway for other writers to contribute without him reading the content of their works. I know first hand that Daniel McAdams, not Ron Paul, reads Chris's articles before publishing them on Ron Paul's site. (economic/politically based articles). Paul then later reads them, ("as far as you know", (Chevy Chase). Chris has been in direct communication with McAdams since he found Chris's work on The Robert Wenzel show and on Lew Rockwell's site. So, Chris's works will get published not by Paul in actually, but only in name of the organization owner and leader. This is done throughout companies, as I was told. Maybe Paul welcomes any view on anything, regardless if he agrees with it or not. ??? Then leaves everything up to the people to decide what to believe in or how to be. ???
***
***If you check out neutral investigators as to all the racist's claims, there might be some info to curb the title to the curb for good. Or not.
***
***What is known is that once a label gets attached to anyone, the emotion of the reader of that claim of title will precede any argument against it. It then becomes a matter of having to know his speeches in full. To know what his actions have been, not from others writing about it, but from hearing his own words or his OWN type in print. It was cleared that he did not know of the other contributing writers, and was embarrassed at him not knowing as he should of. In the 90's he made that clear, and was cleared. Just not cleared by those in both parties and the media who did not want the extra competition when running for president. ALL was fine up to that point, after his cleared explanation. He has communicated with all people. Again, his own state's NAACP's leader and friend of 20 years would sure get the actual read on Paul.
***
***Now, saying that, do "I" know first hand of how he is and what he has done exactly, or how he thinks or talks with others? NO.
***So, I also will not put all eggs in one basket just yet. What I will do is forward all your info you found and give it to Chris when he comes back from the convention. If I get some detailed info from him, I will post that. When I did ask him before about Paul, he made it clear everything has been twisted, and in no way is Paul a racist towards anybody. In fact, Chris felt sure that he is the one that speaks for the people as a whole and not for the government. His stance is that the people should be in control, no matter if he agrees with what they want or not. He apparently doesn't like forced programs, (assuming here), and is probably why he made that principle vote as you pointed out. ??? I don't know about that in detail of course, so that is just my guess, given a benefit of a doubt. I am not trying to explain it away as being fact. Those close to Paul could vouch for that or not. (I mean friends and family that know him through and through), who KNOW the reasons for any action, any vote, or anything he is connected to.
***
***I am not trying to change your mind. I am just giving my current viewpoint, which is free to change.
***
***Thanks for creating another thread. I wish that was done right away, given my son in law's name is on the other one. But, I understand you doing that, and will always give you the benefit of any doubt. As with anyone here, to one degree or another.
***
***Thanks for not cursing at me, or giving me a title! That is all I ask! the rest is "discussions"! Thanks for being so detailed, and to research your info which I will pass on the Chris. I will ask him to not just brush it off, but to try to get to the bottom of things as best as he can. His time is VERY busy though with his kids to raise, his WIFE to please< (my daughter), as he is working in the livingroom all the time on the computer. He has another job on that thing that requires him to work for his father's business, doing research for it and creating apps. So, please allow time. Thanks. What I can tell you for sure is that in NO way would Chris support anyone who was a racist. Take that for what it's worth at this point.
***
***Thanks again,
***Johnny

** I wonder when Paul developed that respect for MLK as the newsletters are anything but respectful where MLK is concerned...
**
**
**And remember. George Wallace was defended by a number of black people in his last years... I don't know for sure but I have seen some things that make me wonder if Wallace did have some regrets about his fierce support for segregation.. Senator Jesse Helms was a bigoted blight on his state for many a year and he still had black employees who vouched for his character..... The guy who was staunchly opposed to an MLK holiday...BTW, that's referred to in the Paul newsletter as 'Hate Whitey Day'... So while the head of state's NAACP certainly has the right to make his own judgement on Paul, I don't necessarily consider his judgement infallible because he's head of the NAACP...
**
**
* Why not? If he wasn't a voucher for 20 years knowing Paul, wouldn't you say even in Paul's own state where the head of the NAACP for that state despises Paul? Sure you would. That would be enough proof, right? But you overlook his approval? The NAACP doesn't take negative things lightly, not in the least!
*
*
*OK, I had time to think more about you questioning my son in law on a public forum. So, with my thinking about, and it getting under my skin, I would like to get out of my good character for a minute and turn the tables on to you, to see how you feel. Ready? Ok.
*
*
*1. Have you ever said the N word at any time in your life?
*Hmmm...think real hard. :)
*
*2. Have you ever said any nasty comments to friends or family members towards a different race than yours? Out of frustration, anger, or just an honest opinion? Hmmm,,,,,
*
*How about this one? (Sit down for it though):
*
*3. Have you ever threatened a member of Bagism, and said you knew where that certain lady and her family lived? AND, even said you knew what school her kids went to? This is BIG hmmm, huh?
*
*Ok, so are we done talking about my son in law?
*
*Thought so.
*
*
*
*OK, we're even. You don't have to answer any of them. I already know for sure one of them, so.
*
*
*We are done discussing my son in law here. I was informed that the info and claims against Paul have already been dealt with over and over by Paul and his staff, and his family. Maybe think again before making anyone in my family the target of tie-in bigotry to someone who has cleared himself more than once, as I found out. It just won't fly, and I should have not continued that personal banter in the first place.
*
*You don;t have to answer those of course. I am sure I know the answers, especially to the last one.
*
*Issue: If you want to bring up personal questions about one of my family members, you have no idea of what I can and have found out about you. So, lets call it a day about such things NO one can say for sure one way or another
*
*The N word: YES or NO?
*

I don't know where you got that crazy threatening business but it is an absolute lie... I would not ever threaten anybody...I do not know ANYONE's address nor do I care to...I certainly would not refer to anyone's kids in such a way...

What have you got in the way of proof? A charge made by someone who obviously will stop at noting to discredit someone they despise? ....

You're indulging in defamation of character to the highest degree here You need to show something to back it up if you're so convinced this ludicrous charge is beyond question..

Have I ever used the "N' word? Absolutely.. I grew up in a Southern family where racial slurs were used frequently and kids often mimic the adults...But I made a conscious effort to change such habits around the age of ten because I saw first hand through a good friend that what I'd heard was garbage..

Just give me something in the way of proof for the sick charge you're making...

Do that and we're done for good...
