*What makes this book so great is that Williams is the first rock critic I recall reading who actually 'got' Brian Wilson...There was still a large percentage of people back in the early days Of Crawdaddy who thought The BBs were just about surfing, hot rods, and striped shirts...Williams recognized there was far more depth to their music than that.....

*And he's primarily about the emotional and spiritual impact great music can have on the listener...He's not about snark or endless nitpicking...He talks about how the music makes him feel in a way you can easily absorb...

*I wish he was still around to give us even more great writing...

*But if you dig the BBs and haven't had the pleasure of reading this book, I highly recommend that you seek it out...
It's actually called 'How Deep Is The Ocean?' but I have a hefty hunch you figured that already, pilgrims...
