Bootleg Series

Posted by **Beatlesnbaseball** on Sep 14, 2013 at 10:48:19 AM:

I'm happy to hear about the new BBC release but I'd like to see some more obscure bootlegged tracks released that us hardcore fans would appreciate.

It seems like their goal with every new release it that it has to appeal to the masses and sell millions. I'd like to see them follow Bob Dylan's lead (or his record co.) and start releasing a bootleg series. There are tons of recordings, live performances, etc that have been well bootlegged for years. They could be aimed specifically at the hard core fan. By naming them the Bootleg series or something similar I think that would take the pressure off of all of them having to turn to gold or platinum. I wouldn't mind if some the Anthology tracks were even rereleased on the series if they fit within the context of that album. We know there is tons of stuff out there. What are they waiting for? They broke up over 40 years ago!

Dylan's bootleg series releases are amazing. It's unbelievable what's in his vaults.
