**O, what can be done about the deep divide between those who have and those who haven't?

**Is there a system which allows us to live in harmony? Or are we forever doomed to compete and thrash among ourselves for an ever scarcer bounty?

*No, sadly. We are basically animals. Highly evolved, but animals none the less. It is in our genetic code to be the strongest, most powerful of our species. When we were in tribes wandering around, the weak died off. The strong survived. Natural selection, survival of the fittest. Today, technology has allowed the weaker of the species to keep on surviving, but ultimately those in charge are the alpha males. Just as Grunk clubbed Skrock for looking at his woman or trying to eat his kill, so does George backstab Sam to win out a promotion to make more money and have the better life.

*There are always exceptions to the rule, but by and large, our basic genetic make up is wired for us to dominate and survive.

Then is the future just to have a few people survive after dominating the rest?

In the quest to acquire more, will there be no resources left?

Are we destined to live in tribes again?

Or will a lucky few get to live in a technological paradise?

How can we conserve our planet when our nature is to compete?

Can we break the cycle of feeling a need to help promote the legacy of our own inner circles at the peril of destroying the sphere on which we live?
