** According to a US intelligence report which was released Friday, there was compelling evidence that a chemical attack was imminent on Syria three days before it happened...
**
**
**The question which arise from this report are pretty obvious ones.
**
**
**Why were we only interested in doing something AFTER the attacks took place?
**
**
**
*
*What are you suggesting? That we should have made a preemptive strike on Assad? Considering how the suggestion that even after the attack, people said that Assad might not have been responsible (I guess this report disproves that hypothesis) and that we shouldn't attack, think of how much opposition there would have been to a preemptive strike.
*
*And are you saying that Obama should have bypassed Congress to attack Syria?
*
*
I am saying that it makes Obama's moral outrage after the fact seem more than a little hollow if the intelligence was there of an imminent chemical attack in Syria...
Obama and his people have vigorously maintained that they had the authority to act without Congressional approval..,,,
This sudden desire to let Congress run with the ball is yet another attempt by Obama to make Congress the fall guy..... It's a Barack Obama specialty with the Saul Alinsky logo on it...
