*Thanks. Funny, I thought of it AS quirky pop with only a couple of really out there moments. I guess the line between inside and outside is different for everyone. When I was doing this, the arrangements kept going between, roughly, Television/Beefheart and Beatles/Brian Wilson and every time I thought it would lean toward one, it went toward the other. (That said, the one time I consciously tried to sound like someone else, it was a coda where I went for a Mamas and Papas sound. Oh, and there are a couple of Rev. Gary guitar licks, albeit in a completely non-blues setting.)

Yes, when I say 'quirky', I'm thinking of R. Stevie's poppier stuff or a lot of Todd Rundgren's offerings... They could have unexpected twists and turns....
Would we both agree that Jandek would be 'out there' ?
You planning to submit this to any radio stations such as WFMU? Are you familiar with www.weirdsville.com? I've come across some things there that strike me as being in a similar vein to the stuff you're doing...
I've collaborated with one artist featured there ..I guess the tracks I had a part in on weren't quite Weirdsville enough though.. :)Followup Messages:
