A Twitter frenzy erupted when someone mentioned that Obama was doing to do away with all student loan debt as of November 1..."Oh if he did that, he'd be the greatest Prez ever!" went a typical Twitter gush...



Uh-oh.. It seems the story which got Twitter all aflitter came from The Daily Currant.


Now if you go to the Daily Currant website, you might just find the following words:



"Our stories are purely fictional."


That's right, kids. Made up. Concocted. Wholecloth.



No 'Where did the big bad loan go?" today..



Now let's all sing the 'Baretta' song theme together:
