********if Chelsea lands a serious striker in the window i'd say they could take the league but if ManU do something in mid-field they might repeat - Gunners and the Spurs are a toss up - if the Spurs lose Bale and the Gunners actually sign someone - miracle of miracles - then then the gunners will stay in the top 4 - Everton could sink further if they lose someone in this window as well and sunderland has been playing with regulation these past few seasons - they are on the brink...

********let the fun times begin - although no one will beat bayern munich in europe much as i liked borussia dortmund and their supporters - that sea of yellow and black - and then there's Barca and Real Madrid - oh i love the start of the season....

*******oh and i'm gathering Suarez stays -and if he's interested Liverpool could climb higher...depending on how they do without him the first 6 matches

******Pretty sure the top 3 will be between Chelsea and the two Manchesters. I'd be surprised if it turns out otherwise.
******4th place? I'm hoping Liverpool but couldn't really predict.
******
******The three promoted clubs to get relegated seems a reasonable assumption, at the moment I could see Newcastle and Stoke being down there too.

*****If the squad can stay healthy and Suarez can remain not banned for more than the 6 games then there is a real possibility of fighting for 4th. Don't see us getting much higher unless one of the clubs just absolutely crumble to pieces.
*****
*****I see Suarez being gone in the January window though if we are hovering around 6 or 7th and have blown our shot at 4th like in the past.
*****
*****I think Spurs and or Arsenal will have a meltdown this year and drop to 6th. Liverpool will probably get 5th.

*****Chelsea (mourinho will inspire them to greatness)
*****Man City
*****Man U (special fergie treatment is over, slow fall from the top)
*****Arsenal/Tottenham
*****Liverpool
*****Arsenal/Tottenham

****depends what the Spurs get for Bale - they may end up a stronger better balanced team - I can't see Wenger getting anything done with the days remaining in this window based on his history and if that's the case i think Arsenal could slip - i don't see Liverpool getting to 5th but who knows, i can't imagine Suarez will be mentally into it mind you he looked pretty happy with his child watching the game v Stoke.

***Arsenal had a bad game on Saturday but they had plenty of bad days last season and still finished strongly.

**i actually like wenger and think he has put together/developed interesting teams to watch - they just don't spend to go over the top and unfortunately have lost big pieces in the past years just when it seemed they were getting there - they are frustrating. I do think the Spurs could surprise and do more than 4th, depending on the results of Bale - they are adding and to me look solid and if they get the $ for Bale and the LB and spend wisely they might just be stronger without him.
*
*i.e. if the Spurs sign Willian and Lamela combined with their other summer signings they could very well push for the title i think. also it sounds like Rooney for Mata and possibly Luiz is back on, at least in background discussions - that would be interesting - again i think arsenal are toast this window and i think it may very well hurt them this time around - wenger should have spent when he had the chance, now he's desperate and everyone he talks to knows it. i have to say Liverpool looked creative around the box and if suarez stays and gets excited they could make a run for 5th
to continue babbling in this thread - I must admit Arsenal looked bright, especially in the final 3rd tonight but i do think Fenerbache looked porous on defence - and if they had capitalized on some their chances it might have been a bit different. never-the-less Arsenal did well with an away 3 nil win - the concern however is depth with the injury to Koscielny - and Chelsea slipped by Villa - tight match but 2 wins - will be interesting to see the Chelsea v ManU match on Monday.Followup Messages:
