The Confession

I had a cocker spaniel when I was seven. .We kept it out in the backyard. I love that mutt...One day, I came home from school to find him gone...My mom informed me that he had probably been stolen....Needless to say, I was devastated.
Flash forward to 1986..My mom's jsu recently been diagnosed with a type of cancer known as multiple myeloma...One day, she site me down and says that she has something important to tell me...She asks if I remember the cocker spaniel. Of course, I say. he was stolen. She tells me he wasn't stolen. She says she gave him away because after working all day, she just couldn't deal with caring for a dog and me too... She couldn't bring herself to tell me he wasn't stolen until almost 25 years later...
But she had to make sure she cleared that up while she still had the chance...
I forgave her of course...She had more than enough on her plate at that point...Followup Messages:
