*Sherlock 2010 TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch
*Endeavour prequel TV series of Inspector Morse - loving this show
*Inspector Morse - sad when it ended but happy Endeavour came along
*Foyles War one of the best TV series ever with Michael Kitchen
*Midsomer Murders with John Nettles
*Scott & Bailey detective series
*Downton Abbey got to love Maggie Smith in whatever she does.

I can only vouch for The Midsomer Murders which both my wife I absolutely love. I hope to acquire as many of the DVD sets as I possibly can in the years to come.
