*But the point is, while you obviously tried very hard to appear sincere, and I should be clear here: that's a compliment and something to be commended, it shows others that you never really cared that much, even if you thought you did, to let it go that quickly. It appears as though it was simply a fleeting distraction for you, a shiny toy that is the most important thing in the world until you see another toy. Remember: you're *asking a favor* of people you've spent years antagonizing. Nobody owes you anything, and if you really want answers, it means making yourself approachable and humbling yourself a bit. Adamantly demanding responses and getting upset when you don't receive any ain't gonna cut it.

I came here intending to speak my mind, not win any popularity contests...It's nice to have a good time on board but not as the expense of my core beliefs...I knew how to win the popularity pool early on and I wasn't interested...Perhaps I was naïve to believe that the majority of people were capable of disagreeing with each other on certain topics but were still able to interact positively on other matters...The level of " If you don't agree with me here, I don't want to talk to you about anything" was quite something to experience...
I consider a large part of my purpose here to be making damn sure topics are out there that would often not be mentioned if Obama supporters were the ones I had to rely on to bring those subjects up.. That is essential and I don't intend to curtail it or stifle it in any way whatsoever... I'm not always going to make those with vastly different views feel comfortable...
So if people don't want to answer, fine... I made an offer.. They did not trust me to keep my word...Okay, so that's that.. I'll make some concessions but I am not about to beg...
People who want to tell me they know my motives and future responses better than I do? I'm supposed to humble myself for that sort?
Ain't happening...The standoff will go on...
