******* Do you believe Obama has done nothing which warrants you going on record with even the slightest criticism?
*******
*******
*******No one expects you to suddenly turn around and slam him day in and day out..
*******
*******
*******But constant refusal to engage in any negative words whatsoever regardless of his actions can lead to certain questions...
*******
*******
*******Do you believe he's done everything right?
*******
*******
*******
*******I would love to at least understand the reasoning behind your silence...
*******
*******
*******Do you believe whether he has done right is so monumentally wonderful that it enables you to overlook anything he has done wrong?
*******
*******
*******
*******Is it even in the realm of possibility that I could get an honest and forthright answer as to why you absolutely refuse to put any criticism of this president on the record?
*******
*******
*******
*******His continuation of Bush terrorism policies, drone strikes, refusal to can Eric Holder, Benghazi, IRS targeting, the AP wiretaps, Syria, unconstitutional recess appointments, and so much more...
*******
*******
*******And Rumor wants to talk about crickets?
******
******Are you asking why people don't criticize Obama, or are you asking him why they don't criticize him for the things you think he should be criticized for? It's possible to criticize him for other reasons, yet still think that your take on the things you listed is wrong and/or they're non-issues that were fabricated to attack Obama. In fact, one of the things I've criticized him for in the past is that he sometimes is too willing to treat those non issues seriously, presumably in an attempt to keep them from becoming too large a distraction. Hopefully, he's realized that never works.
******
******When someone tells you why they don't criticize Obama on whatever subject you think he should be criticized about, do you think "ok, I don't agree, but that's a legitimate reason" or do you think "This person is just a mindless Obama supporter making excuses."
******
*****
*****
*****
*****I am perfectly capable of accepting explanations without resorting to a "mindless Obama supporters" response...I just want some honesty here... I don't claim to know that everyone who refrains from taking issue with him knows deep down he's done some things wrong... It's not about what I know or claim to know...It's about what those who support him know and I'm convinced they know why they don't speak up when they disagree....And if they do indeed know that they have disagreed with things he's done, please explain why is it seemingly impossible for them to verbalize it?
*****
*****
*****If people decide to say that they couldn't bear the thought of giving an asshole like me that kind of satisfaction, I can deal with that.. or the "he's done so much good, I can overlook the bad" explanation,....or C. D, or E... It strikes me as a lot more honest than silence from people who once were quite vocal about policies which Obama continued and even expanded..
*****
*****
*****
*****Gimme some truth... Something solid instead of endless dead air... It's that basic...
*****
*****
*****
****
****Then by rights you gotta explain what you think Obama has done right... don't you know deep down that he has done some things right?
***
***
***Conditions...Always conditions...
***
***
*** I don't expect you to say Obama's wrong about some things if you don't truly believe it...
***
***
***
***Would you expect me to say he's right when I don't believe it?
***
***
***
***Let me ponder this question a bit...Other than getting Bin Laden, nothing springs to mind immediately but if I wrack my brain, I might come up with something...
**
**
**
**
** Playing a major role in ending "Don't ask, don't tell"...I'd cite that as a right thing...
**
**
**And I believe coming out in support of gay marriage was right...The only problem I had was with his long-running 'My position is evolving' dodge on the issue...I believe when he did make his big announcement supporting gay marriage, he timed it to have the maximum political advantage... So it was certainly not without a self-serving aspect which tarnished it somewhat , imo..
*
*When Bin Laden was killed, I seem to recall your posting on the subject as more "Obama didn't really have that much to do with it" than "This is a good thing that Obama did," I don't recall you ever posting that you thought his part in ending don't ask, don't tell was a good thing, and right here, you're using his support of gay marriage to criticize him, not praise him. Using an acknowledgement that you agree with him mainly as a springboard for criticism doesn't seem to really be praise, does it? Now that I think about it, the only times I remember that you've ever posted anything about any issues concerning homosexuals, it was to complain about political correctness.
*

Wrong...I have often mentioned the persecution of gays in countries under radical Muslim rule... I have mentioned how I found it disgusting that Rosie O'Donnell made such a big deal about treatment of gays in The US but wouldn't say a word about countries that issue a death sentence to people for no other reason than that they are homosexual...

And I can't praise Obama's gay marriage announcement without that addition...Had he made it months earlier, I wouldn't have been as likely to see political opportunism in the mix...Sorry, I just never bought the 'evolving position' stuff...I believe Obama knew for some time what his true feelings were and did not reveal them until he could get maximum mileage out of it...

* Again, I don't remember you ever saying it was a good thing that he supported it before this. So here's a question for you, if you thought those were good things, why didn't you ever say so without being prompted? That's what you've really asked of Obama supporters, not "have you ever disagreed with Obama?"
*

Do you honestly believe if I had phrased it in that manner, it would produce more results?

I don't...It's still me asking the question...

No answers forthcoming.. Time to move along now...
