*ok, i shouldn't be so definitive....for me it is heavenly with lightly toasted 7 grain dimpflmeier bread - i love it - but ever since i was very young my mother would make a lightly toasted tomato sandwich in the summer and it would make me so happy and now it brings the fresh burst of summer but more than that the warm memories of my mother and her backyard garden. wonderful, wonderful days...
Funny thing is I'm not really that big on tomatoes or tomato-based thingies...I like a good mater sammich and a BLT every so often.. Don't get maters on burgers. usually just lettuce, mayo and onions....Don't use catsup on fries...Prefer Cajun seasoning.. Don't like pasta smothered in tomato sauce...
