What Obama actually said on The Tonight Show:


"If we don't deepen our ports all along the Gulf-places like Charleston, SC, or Savannah, GA or Jacksonville, FL-If we don't do that, those ships are going to go somewhere else and we'll lose jobs."



The Associated Press rewrite:



"If we don't deepen our ports all along the Gulf- (and in) places like Charleston ,SC or Savannah, Ga or Jacksonville, FL-If we don't do that, those ships are going to go somewhere else and we'll lose jobs."




I don't think there is a great deal of difficulty involved in understanding what AP did here...



Now once reputable news services are not giving us the actual words said by their chosen politicians. It's more important to make sure the world believes he is incapable of making a gaffe, no matter which of the 57 states he might be in when he says it...



Sickening.
