**The first common sense rule dictates that it's not a good idea
**to say "Whatcha you gonna do about it bitch!" to an armed
**Police officer. But there is no denying the officer did have the option of using a non lethal weapon like mace or a taser.

*one cannot expect the public to have 'common sense' - its a pseudo-sensibility

*a trained professional should also be educated in dealing with 'special needs' people - such as physically and mentally handicaps including those requiring animal assistance - children, and those 'adults' that don't behave like 'normal' 'rational' adults

*even tasers are abused and have a record of killing people so I wouldnt & don't consider them 'nonleathal' personally

*bottom line, if she *cant* handle any given public situation herself, she should not be patrolling solo
