**No question he has every right to take such a stand...We also have the right to form an opinion on whether it's fair to those living in those boycotted states who have put money in his pocket all these years...They may be just as outraged by the verdict as he is...But it looks like they'll get punished anyway...

*It's fair. Personally, I agree that he's hurting people who might agree with him, but it's still fair. The people who "put money in his pocket" weren't doing him any favors. They got the records and performances that they paid for.
It's a shitty way to treat your fans... Sure, I doubt he'll suffer financially to a great degree but it still shows a lack of respect for those who have been loyal yo him over the years...
