******I'm going to force myself to listen to Tug Of War,Pipes of Peace,Broad Street and Press To Play.I'm pretty sure I can get through Tug Of War but I'm not so sure about Pipes Of Peace.I remember hating it when it came out.Hopefully it aged well. This might be painful but if it gets too bad I'll just shut it off.I thought Press To Play sucked too.Never bought Off The Ground.I bought Flowers In The Dirt which I found fairly listenable.Anyway I'll post in a few days my ratings of those albums.
*****
*****Tug of War has some nice moments - 3 - the rest until Driving Rain, Flaming Pie and Chaos I really had no time for.....Driving Rain - 4 ; Flaming Pie - 4; Chaos - 3.5 with Riding to Vanity Fair being one of my favourite songs ever by PM.
****
****I'd give Flaming Pie a 5,Driving Rain 2 and Chaos 4
***
***I'd agree with that. Actually I'd probably give Driving Rain a 1.5, there really isn't much there on that album. I would give Memory Almost Full a 1. The only song on that album worth much of anything is Feet In The Clouds.
***
***What is interesting is that his best stuff from Memory Almost Full was the bonus tracks. In Private, Why So Blue and 222 are probably some of Paul's best stuff to date. Even though two of the tracks are 'instrumental' they are far and away better than crap like "what we wear is vintage clothes" haha. Why So Blue is a very terrific song as well. Sounds like a track left over from Flaming Pie.
***
***But to me, Flaming Pie is probably far and away his best solo album. It was right around the Anthology and you can hear that Beatles influence back in his work. The only song that seems radically out of place is Used To Be Bad. Such a smooth flowing album only to be interrupted with Steve Miller, always made me think "woah, what the hell?". But it is nice to hear George Martin's orchestral arranging again on Paul's songs (Somedays is probably one of Martin's better arrangements).
**
** Even though the 80s as a whole weren't too great for Paul, I still think that Tug of War is one of his best solo albums. Flowers in the Dirt is also a mostly good album.
**
** Both Flaming Pie and Chaos are quite good in my opinion. Driving Rain is at least half of a good album. Memory Almost Full has some good songs on it. I really like Mr. Bellamy. The interesting thing with Paul is that even on his "bad" albums there are still usually at least 3-4 songs that could be considered quite good.

*3 or 4 good ones on McCartney 2? I don't think so.Maybe 1 or 2.That album SUCKS!!!!!Did I yell again?Sorry!
