**Maybe I should have said "look at all the not-black people" - the point being that it's not a sea of black people who are taking to the streets and protesting. Plenty of "lighter" races are clearly unhappy with the verdict.

*"White" and "Latino" are not mutually exclusive. "White" refers to a race (let's leave aside the fact that the concept of "races" is biologically meaningless when it comes to people and is more a sociological construct) and "Latino" refers to ethnicity. As a matter of fact, the idea of "white Hispanics" is unremarkable and is even recognized by the US census.

You are correct. When we have our new employees fill out their fingerprint cards there is no "Hispanic" option. They are to indicate "white" like euro-Americans.
