I agree.
WE, the people of adult age should already have the right to put in or out anything we choose. How does alcohol get a pass, which leads to thousands of deaths and crimes, yet a plant that gives a feeling of an imagined exotic wine without the slurred speech and ultra slow reaction time, never mind just about going blind when drunk, is illegal? People usually tone down their aggression with pot, as opposed to alcohol. If it was legal, the GOOD stuff would be sold, along with many choices and prices. Think of the tax revenue! And folks who would look to get that kind of relief from some ailments. Fun at the same time! Creative too!
Comes down to being told what we can't consume. BUT, a drink that leads to many deaths of even the criminal kind is OK?!
To say Free Country only means a certain amount of things are allowed to be free to do. I bet some lawmakers do worse to themselves and others than take a few hits.
I may not smoke any, regardless legal of that happens at some point in time. BUT, I support those who would want to without being arrested for it! That just seems dumb. Cops have plenty of actual crimes against others be concerned over, than someone using pot in any way.
Open up stores like the old tobacco shops and let the people do what they want, just like the lawmakers and other politicians probably do what they want, DESPITE what THEY take in illegally.
Lets ALL do our own food and drug choosing without the searching, stripping and arresting! Thank you!
(I was stripped search when coming back in the US from Canada, just because I had long hair and camping gear in the back seat. Car stripped too! 2 hours to put it back together. What did they find to search me and car like I was the worst criminal to come along in a decade? A few burnt seeds and an empty pipe. Whoopty Do! And while some others were maybe coming back in the country with a body in the trunk or being some other kind of REAL criminal. So, they wasted my time and their time for NOTHING!
Stupid law and stupid WRONG actions for smoking a pleasurable plant! I told them something similar to that too.
