**cant you just leave something in the water for it to climb out on......a piece of wood or something .....whenever there is a spider in the bath I just drape a towel over the edge to accommodate its climbing out and finding shelter.....dont' kill spiders or anything if I can help it.

*it doesn't seem to want to come out - having a wonderful time swimming around on the bottom - it is after all a water frog - haven't seen it come to the surface once
It will do of a night to feed.....they feed from surface critters don't they??.....give it a surface to climb out of ....worth a try.
Sounds like it's found a new mama anyhow....
