** It was abundantly clear that Barack Obama was on the side of the Egyptian people when they demanded the ouster of Mubarek..."Mubarek must go" was as plain as day... Obama's then-mouthpiece Robert Gibbs stressed that the cries of the people must be addressed..
**
**
**Now, we get Obama saying that "It's not our job to decide who Egypt's rulers are"...Hmmmm...Did he ever say this in response to questions on Mubarek...If so, I don't recall it. If there was consistency, we wouldn't be seeing such a high degree of anti-Obama sentiment coming from Egyptians who have once again taken to the streets...
**
**
**Morsi made a lot of empty promises and soon showed himself for the power-mad dictator thug he is...
**
**
**So why won't Obama denounce him with even half as much certainty as we saw when he denounced Mubarek?
**
**
*probably because Morsi was elected
*
*

And that is where the parallel comes in...Morsi was elected based on promises he knew to be total lies when he made them.. His supreme power grab proved that conclusively...Barack Obama could certainly understand this as he made a lot of promises and he knew he was talking bullshit when he made them...

But unfortunately we can't oust him because unlike so many Egyptians, the people who elected him will condone virtually anything...
