*Recently a bunch of atheists tried to get a monument of the ten commandments removed from public ground claiming it violated freedom of religion but got ruled against because of freedom of speech. So, what I'm wondering is since atheists believe in nothing why weren't they satisfied with the "nothing" that was already there instead of erecting a bench that says "ATHEIST!"

Freedom of speech isn't completely free. Just as you can't yell fire in a crowded room when there isn't one, just as you can't post whatever you like webboards (ones that are truly moderated) and just as you can't wear whatever you feel like at school. Students are to follow the rules set forth by the school and should follow those rules or meet the consequences.

As for the ten commandments, seeing as the religion aspect was already there, it is hardly "nothing" as you say. Had nothing actually been there, then there would have been nothing to complain about.

I'm sure you are actually asking a legitimate question but it reeks of deflection for your pal Jacqueline. She demands answers from others, so why then, when she is posed a question she gets a pass and doesn't have to answer? Question everything!... Just don't question me. Guess that's rule #2 after do as I say not as I do.
