*Global warming is a misnomer – it is Climate change and is characterized by an increase in the frequency and severity of some weather events and the increase in global surface temperature – not necessarily your hometown on a particular day or season.

Global Warming and Climate Change refer to basically the same thing. It's just a change in terminology. The implications are still there as before. That it's man made and man has to do things to fix it. IMHO it's just mother nature taking it's course (after how many millions of years?) and there isn't much we can do to control that..all we can do is make adjustments and
carry on the best we can.
