**is this a precursor to 2014??
**
**should be a blast on Sunday....
**
**has Iker recovered from Mou? is Neymar the real deal?
**
**with Xavi and Iniesta controlling the midfield i think it will be difficult for Brazil even with Fred up top
**
**as for 2014 i still think Messi has a lot to say, no matter the nay-sayers....i LOVE it....

*It's a precursor in that it's taking place in brazil ;)

*Watched the match yesterday, Jesus, I hate the way Italy plays. A lot of sit back and stifle and hope it goes to pens. I'll admit, they shut down one of the most productive offenses around though. Spain always seems to play like this in a tournament. They win easily by 3 or 4 goals in the group stages, then eek out these wins in the knockout round. Spain is really an aging team though, I think if they win the confed cup it'll be their last trophy. I don't see them winning the world cup next year. David Villa and Cassillas both have their own niggles. Torres is more fragile than a fabrege egg. Ramos, Xavi, Alonso, Iniesta and Piqué aren't spring chickens. They have some good youth in Pedro, Navas and Martinez, but they don't shine and rise to the occasion like the senior players do.

*All in all it'll be a great match between brazil and Spain but I think brazil will nick it. They have the crowd and also will out pace Spain. If Spain get an early two goal advantage they might pull it off by playing the possession game, but I don't see them getting two goals up on brazil. Should be good either way!
It will be a good game as will the runner up between Italy and Uruguay - i liking/hoping for Uruguay for that one
as for 2014 if Argentina can get a stellar performance out of a 'weaker' back four and keeper, at least compared to their mids and strikers, they could be the team to beat - at least that's what i'm hoping...
---------------------------Caballero ------------------------
-------Zabaleta-----Rodriguez------Mascherano----Zanetti------
but you've gotta like the quality attacking:
Cambiasso, Pastore, Aguero, Lavezzi, Tevez, Higuain, Milito, Samuel, Costa etc. to choose from..........and that 'other' guy.....Followup Messages:
