He's trolling. Most people, even if I disagree with them or have a low opinion of them personally, believe what they post-or believe that they believe it, if you see the distinction-but OFT simply posts things to, as you say, provoke. With anyone else, there's some consistency, but his posts can contradict themselves within the same thread.
