* A court has ruled in favor of a 6-year old transgender after the child was barred from using the girls' restroom...
*My questions are these: When it's time for Junior High phys ed and showers are part of that, should the girls be forced to shower with someone who has all the outward appearances of a girl but has a schlong hanging out? Should their discomfort be completely discounted? Should they have the option of choosing not to shower under those circumstances without any fear of being thought of as haters? ...
That's one perspective. Here's another: Should someone have the option of choosing not to shower with black people without being thought of as haters?
I'm guessing you'll say no, then explain why you see the two situations as different. I'm also guessing you'll say something about how the feelings of the majority of students should be considered. What would the majority of students have said about race in Alabama in 1953? Would you say they weren't haters from today's perspective?
