**"Patch" sings this cover I produced and played on. Mike Caro on Classical Guitar! Yesterday.

*Mike Caro!
Mike Caro! THEE man! In every way, music and his ways with all others! Great Producer and Engineer as well. Was sought after by Mike Appel, in Staten Island, after hearing more and more of Caro's work with many artists, including Michael Jackson, Celene Dion, The Daou and many others! Ibanez asked him to be the company;s spokesman, but turned it down, due to the fact he would have followed George Benson, one of Caro's guitar Gods. He stayed with his long time bandmates instead. Caro plays on a number of top 100 records. (guitar and bass). A Clive Davis find when he was 19, then doing studio work for Sony and other labels in Manhattan studios, meeting everybody in the biz! Relentless spirit in every way! AND, since 16 years ago, while having serious health issues with NO real answers after 70 doctors in over 16 years! Hard, Longshorman work maybe led to his issues.
After I worked on a number of my and some of his projects, (from first meeting him when hired to sing a baseball song for a Florida songwriter, (Scott W. Campbell, "Opening Day" song played at some major league parks), he asked if I would work with him in the studio as a co engineer. (He already had in mind for me to play for Mike Appel). But I had been out of playing for a yea when he asked that of me, with having Tinnitus and Hyperacusis. I said I would try to help in the engineering of demos for songwriters. Well, one thing led to another and before I knew it, I was called in to engineer for a Mike Appel session. WHAT??? He was with Jimmy Iviene for years! Anyway, Mike Caro knew once I was in there, that I would be playing on Appel's songs, for his musical. So, since that time of Caro's caring for me, knowing my dreams, I have been on 7 songs with many instruments on each, and engineered and edited the songs, plus mastered some songs for Appel at Caro's studio. NUTS! ALL from Caro's great love for everyone. He is always bringing in his long time friends to do this or that. I met so many of his old bandmates of several bands, (like three drummers, other guitar players, (that Mike could play everything needed,,BUT he likes to help out his friends and have fun with everyone)! Many singers, and young artists he is grooming and helped to get accepted to the Fame high school for the arts in NY. (Two girl singer songwriters, 14, and 15). GREAT girls and talent! Songs too! Wow...Mike Caro was crucial in their knowledge and passion to be the best they can. I just heard them all on stage Saturday night in Staten Island. BLOWN the hell away at HOW good they all are. Caro's friends and those girls! My Goodness!
THAT is Mike Caro! Thinking of others. Helping them, NO MATTER how he is feeling, and I KNOW how he feels most of the time, spending time with him at his home. Once people come over, he is UP and having fun. Once they leave,,,a hurting pup, deeply depressed about his conditions, and angry at the doctors for not caring as he would, if he were a doctor.
And, "imagine" this! As great as he is on guitar, (bass and other things as well), he is taking guitar lessons!!!! LOL To know what he doesn't, as he said. In all styles of music. Jazz, classical, anything! Like I said, "relentless". He is the one who KNOWS about real love, for anything! I talked about his LOVE for others in other threads. "Selfless and Unconditional". HE acts on that ALL THE TIME...DESPITE his issues of anything! He said there is NO excuse for not putting ANYONE first before your needs. NONE!
The world needs more Mike Caro's.Followup Messages:
