* On The American version of that album this day in 1966, the hodgepodge lp known as 'Yesterday And Today' was released in the US...Notorious for its original butcher cover, Y and Y gathered tracks form UK lps which had not yet been released in the States...Capitol jumped the gun by rush releasing 3 tracks recorded for the next full-fledged offering 'Revolver' and the US version suffered greatly as a result... I wish they had left 'And Your Bird Can Sing' and "I'm Only Sleeping' for the US Revolver... Why could they not have included Rain and Paperback Writer instead? Those two tracks didn't see release on a US lp until almost four years later... So the US Revolver features 5 McCartney offerings and only 2 by Lennon..
*George even outnumbers John on the US version...
*
*'Yesterday And Today' sounds like a hodgepodge instead of a cohesive album...

*
* But it is there and there it is...And it made its debut on June 15. 1966...
I do agree about the American Revolver being McCartney heavy but again when I was a kid I didn't know about the U.K. Revolver.
