***Obama Africa trip may cost $100M (hey, transporting limos isn't cheap)

***Nobody can accuse the Obamas of traveling light. When the president and FLOTUS head to sub-Saharan Africa later this month, they'll reportedly be taking several hundred Secret Service agents, 56 support vehicles (including 14 limousines), fighter jets to fly around-the-clock over presidential airspace, a Navy aircraft carrier to serve as a floating hospital, and three truckloads of bulletproof glass to cover the Obamas' hotel windows. The total cost is estimated anywhere between $60 million and $100 million dollars. "The security requirements are not White House-driven, they are Secret Service-driven," security adviser Ben Rhodes said. Before you get your presidential panties all in a bunch, remember that George W. Bush and Clinton had similar security measures during their own African trips.

***One would ask why a trip to Africa is so important at this time?
***and is it really vitally necessary for all that to go along?
***I think not.
***Maybe because of the economy and the fact that they should be setting an example, maybe they should just forego a trip to Africa or at least cut some of those expenditures. This is outrageous and it's time the taxpayers of this country to just say NO to this ridiculous spending..particularly after the sequester has taken away so much from us already.

**Forget all that military spending. Why not airdrop a jeep with Hillary Clinton to drive it and John Kerry riding shotgun with a 12 gauge. The Obamas can ride in the back, the girls can walk and catch up later.

*===I see a lot of money being spent on a lot of people's works...who in turn will spend their money on a lot of other people's work etc. etc. etc.

*But wait! It is better for everyone to save their money and further stifle life's economy.

Exactly how is the President and excessive entourage spending $100M of the taxpayer's money going to stimulate our economy?
You honestly think Obama is going to walk away with some sort of big trade agreement with Africa that will create jobs here? Or will it involve more outsourcing of jobs from here to there..
Or is it just a visit just to show them support and that we're still friends...
and then there's this...
Other sources of expense include the use of 56 vehicles and hundreds of Secret Service agents, according to the Post. The document, however, did not note specific prices.
Mr. Obama and first lady Michelle Obama had reportedly been planning to go on a safari in Tanzania, but the Post says that trip was canceled after reporters inquired into the cost and purpose of the trip. -CBS News
Really? I wonder what other unnecessary expenditures can be cut back when the true agenda and price of things are exposed..
YOU may see it as some sort of economical stirring but I see it as nothing more than shameless spending when that kind of money can be better spent elsewhere for the betterment of THIS country.
Sources are saying this could very well be the most expensive trip that Obama (or his predecessors) have taken yet.
Milk it while you can Barack..
