Jume 13-Live At The Star Club Hamburg

Posted by **murray** on Jun 13, 2013 at 4:16:26 PM:

On this date in 1977, ''Live At The Star Club' was released in America in spite of efforts to prevent that event......Previously unheard Beatles before they conquered the world? Yes, please... Okay, the album was far from being a sonic marvel but to a diehard Beatlefreak, it was a delightful spin...I remember being quite taken with their version of Fats Waller's 'Your Feet's Too Big' played at maximum volume...Arthur Alexander's 'Where Have You Been All My Life' was another cut which had immediate appeal...It was as close as we'd get to being in that club in those days to see and hear them build the sound which would change the face of popular music forever...
