*******Imagine it would become law, that guns are sold to normal citizens only under the strictest conditions and it also would become law, that all or nearly all existing guns in private hands would be illegal and people are asked to turn them back.

*******When I say it becomes law, I mean that the majority of US citizens will have voted for it and congress with an overwhelmingly majority will have said yes to it. All parties will have agreed. I am not thinking of some kind of tyrant or something.

**As I don't own a gun and the situation he describes already exists in the UK there's not a lot I can really say to his questions.
