A convict has to have his hustle, otherwise you're no one, and, of course, in a society opportunist predators, a victim.
My hustle was tobacco.
I refused to hustle drugs, or porn, or anything that was illegal in the free world. Didn't want anything to do with anything that could extend my stay.I believe they aggravated the charge for any free world charge caught while doing time.so I stuck to tobacco, which would have only resulted in loss of privilege, rather than an enhanced charge.
In order not to accrue the wrath of the established gangs, I bought their tobacco at their asking price, all they had, selling it for a loss.
In this way, I stayed in good grace with the people who could easily have had me killed, and monopolized the tobacco market. If you wanted tobacco (and nearly everybody did), I was the go-to guy.
This is one of the lessons I took with me into the free world.Followup Messages:
