*It bears out what I've been saying..you can't legislate anything to prevent violence to any significant degree. Those who are intent upon committing violence will just find another means.
*This and other recent events involving stabbings are examples of that. The answer lies in treating those who are prone to violent behavior.. not in trying to take away a weapon.

"Prone to violent behavior"? How often have we heard "he was just a normal guy, never bothered anyone" right after someone commits mass murder? You can't always identify those who are "prone" until it's too late. And you can't lock up someone just because they're prone.

It's like the stalking laws. How long did people have to live in fear because the authorities couldn't do anything until the stalker actually harmed them?
