*at home?

*Our family dog died a little over two years ago after spending 17 years with us. Loved that animal.
*
*This past weekend on a whim, as I was driving past, I stopped at a place called Little Shelter & nearly came home with a 6 year old Cocker Spaniel. Didn't know how he & Tripod (my daughter's 3 legged cat) would get along.
*
*Took a lot to walk away from that dog.
*
*So.
*Any of you own rescued pets & how did it work out for you?
Be careful with cocker spaniels. There's lots of inbreeding that goes on with them. We had one that had papers as long as a football field. Damn dog was retarded. Used to eat fireworks, chewed electrical cords until it got shocked and then chewed them again, eventually went deaf, started going blind, asthma and a bevy of other health problems. Friends of mine also have owned cockers and while not quite AS bad as our dog, did suffer from blindness and other health problems.Followup Messages:
