*It won't be long before we return to the Blue Ridge Mountains,an area which has become our second home...We've talked about the possibility of changing that status a number of times...The noisier our street gets, the sweeter it seems. I'd thought we'd reached the ultimate in party noise from neighbors but we've got a new arrival.... Last night broke the noise record by a mile...

*
*We're not at that moving [point yet but I feel it getting closer... It will be a mofo for sure... But who knows? We might even find one of those places where you can throw a rock and not hit your neighbor's house or vehicle...
*
*
*Funny thing is, our street would still seem like an oasis to folks in big cities who deal with noise constantly...

*I got used to it growing up in Baltimore but that was decades ago... I think I'd be in a strait jacket in short order if I had to live in a bustling city now...

We can choose our neighbors, until new ones move in. ven in the quiet, there could be hunters nearby. Shotguns! Loud owl's too. Wild dogs or angry moose, bear, etc.

Wherever you go or stay, mayb your sensitivity to noise become less and less. (Accepting them can help somewhat). But in my case, as it might be yours to some degree, Hyperacousis is NO fun, even with low moderate noises. My wife had a tough time emptying a pasta mix out of the bag. IT WAS SO LOUD to me that even in the other room, it was like hearing the finale at a fireworks display! So, no matter where I would move to, everyday sounds right next to me, or in the other rooms are like attacking sudden NOISES that go OUCH! Damn rock and roll amps and drums through most of my years! LOL...Still rockin though, (in the studio). Just with SOME control over everything now.

My point is,,if you can better react or think at the times of aggravating noises,,,,they MIGHT get less aggravating,,,UNLESS you have hyperacousis. Even then,,,if not being like a baby, I can handle most sounds without crying too much! LOL

Earplugs too will help ya! LOL. I'll be in NY tomorrow night with sounds going on,,,BUT I look forward to getting my ass/ears kicked....FOR it means I am STILL doing what I LOVE! NOTHING can kick my ass to not have me at least TRY and GET through things if at possible. YOU can do it too! React nicer to YOURSELF! Accept kids will be kids,,,Cities will be cities!

It's LIFE going on you are hearing!!!!
Better than not hearing anything!
