****** Is it considerably chillier than the late April norm in your area?

*****no - about average to my knowledge

**** It has been remarkably pleasant in my sweltering neck of the woods, but this is not so much abnormal as it is cyclic. *

***it takes spring awhile to get a grip up/over here - May - that's usually when it arrives....

***beautiful month...May

** In May here, we usually push mid to upper 90s,and high humidity makes those temps all the more dangerous.

*that's why I live in the Northeast - don't like 90 - anything above 80 I begin to have problem with - we start moving into the 80's in June - by July I'm wishing it was September already..

In June we hit triple digits with regularity, making diet and hydration a prime concern as well as a reduction of caffeine and alcohol (Booo!) Necessary to avert heat exhaustion or life threatening heat stroke for those who will be working outdoors. The heat here can be very brutal.
