***I like both cats and dogs. But seeing as you appear to be critical of cat people I could say you only like dogs because of their unconditional worship of you (as long as you feed them, that is).

*** To be fair, that can be a great feeling to know that your dog doesn't get hung up on the crap that blocks people from finding good on each other... They don't give a damn about your political views. who your favorite sports team is, etc...

**And I've come to appreciate cats more in the last 20 years or so.. I used to hate 'em fiercely...Perhaps because we've been fortunate enough to have cats which didn't conform to the cat stereotype...Very affectionate...Somehow able to give you the impression that they do love and appreciate you and you're not just a can opener...

*As a kid I was very fond of the cat and the dog that we had. The cat was affectionate, he disliked adult males (scared of them) but was fine with women and children. I'm slightly more a dog person but still like cats too.

Our newest cat followed me around like a little puppy dog for the first few weeks we had him...He still does that to a lesser degree and I have to be careful about not stepping on him... The dogs are very good with him except when it comes to food, of course... All bets are off at that point...
