*One of my pet peeves makes an appearance when people compare Magical Mystery Tour to the Beatles actual movies...Yes, MMT was filmed but it's not a movie in the same way that AHDN and Help! are movies...It is and was a television special which had a running time of less than the standard running time of a motion picture... Woody Allen did a television special and I have yet to see anyone compare it to Annie Hall or Hannah and Her Sisters..

I think people call it that because its simply on film and when it was created, it was commonplace to call things on film movies, no? it stuck....
