Yep. 16 Magazine was about the best thing going in the US for Beatle coverage in the pre-Rolling Stone days.. Yes, Datebook featured "The Beatles Monthly Book' which wasa definite winner But 16 did a bang up job for 25 cents an issue... They also did these Beatles-only mags..One for both the movies...'All About Us' and 'The Beatles Whole True Story' ...I've got a number of the issues from 1964 through 1967... There are quite a few pics I don't remember seeing anywhere else but in that magazine...
The bottom of the barrel were the magazines which featured completely invented stories with some sensational headline to rope you in ...Of course the story didn't turn out to be what it first seemed...There were a lot of those...Good for a laugh at least once you realized you were dealing with total BS... I guess you could say it was the first Beatle Fan Fiction...Followup Messages:
