Beatley Trades

Posted by **murray** on Apr 25, 2013 at 11:11:45 AM:

The first Beatles album I ever owned was 'The Beatles Second Album;... I traded a kid for it. He got a beat-up copy of Elvis Presley's 'Blue Hawaii' with no cover and some 45 that wasn't Beatley .. I got a beat-up copy of The Second Album also coverless...Lots of crunch but no skips...I still have it, right next to a much more pristine copy in a groovy cover...

I once traded with a chick for Beatle mags...She got Led Zep's 'Houses Of The Holy', 'Tanx' by T. Rex , and the first Eagles album...I got six or seven worn Beatle mags from 1964... Still have those too and many other such mags.... in 1973, tt was much easier to locate replacement copies of Zep, T. Rex, and The Eagles than to fine 9-year old Beatle mags. eBay was a long road away then...
